Privacy Notice for Parents/Guardians of Minor Participants

Introduction

Intelligent Business Platforms LLC (Intellibus) is committed to protecting the privacy of all participants in the Intellibus Hackathon 2025. If a participant is considered a minor under applicable laws, parental or guardian consent may be required for their participation. This Privacy Notice explains how their personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected.

What Personal Data Do We Collect?

For minor participants, we collect:

• Participant Information: Name, email, education details.
• Parental/Guardian Consent Information: Name, email (if consent is required).

Purpose of Processing & Legal Basis

Where applicable, parental/guardian consent will be obtained before processing any personal data of minors.

How Long Do We Keep the Data?

• Participant registration and event participation data will be deleted within 6 months after the event.
• If the participant wins a prize, financial data will be stored for 7 years in compliance with financial regulations.

Who Do We Share the Data With?

We may share participant data with:

• DevPost (USA): For event registration and participation.
• Google Cloud (USA): For event-related document storage.

All data transfers are safeguarded in compliance with the Jamaica Data Protection Act (JDPA) 2020.

Rights of Participants and Parents/Guardians

Under the JDPA 2020, participants (or their parents/guardians, if applicable) have the following rights:

• Right to access: Request details on how personal data is processed.
• Right to rectification: Request corrections to inaccurate personal data.
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of data after the event, unless legally required to retain it.
• Right to withdraw consent: If consent was required, it may be withdrawn at any time before or during the event, preventing further data processing.
